Wifi adaptor help!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but Im very new to setting up wifi on my PC as I've been using ethernet since I built it. I just moved to a new place and ethernet isn't a viable option now. I have a AMD X470 Gaming Plus and I just wanted to know if there's anything I need to set up wifi. Everywhere Ive looked says I need a wifi card or I can just plug in a wifi adapter and be fine.
