Fixing school chairs (Quebec budget)
I'm a teacher in an adult school and my school in particular has students from 16 to 24 years old with learning disabilities and, sometimes, other issues that makes learning harder for them (sorry for the bad English).
Yesterday, one of my students who had another kid hit her on the back of the head with a rock in the past and who had and still has epilepsy from that fell from one of those chairs. She hit her head and had another seizure... we had to call the ambulance.
Now, I'm looking at those chairs and wondering if it would be a good idea to fix them or if it's even possible. It's not the first time a chair breaks like that, and when it does, it's the front legs who break all the time.
Unfortunately, our provincial government has restricted our budget this year and replacing those chairs is probably more than we can afford this year. Can those chairs be fixed? Can they be solidified in any way? How much would someone ask for a single chair?
