Nanoleaf Floor Lamp (NL72K4) integration

I bought a Nanoleaf Floor Lamp. Prior to doing so, I check hass if it supported Nanoleaf. It said it did. I ordered my lamp.

Upon receiving it, I tried connecting it to hass: turns out this model isn't supported.

After some digging, I found the Nanoleaf official documentation (nanoleaf.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/nlapid/pages/2296381472/Nanoleaf+Matter+WiFi+Essentials+Open+API+Documentation), which is up-to-date and works.

My question is: how can I create an new object or custom integration (never done this for hass) as to create a light object which will interface between the input from hass and the various API calls to control the light?

I'm willing to do the heavy lifting, I'd just like some tips or guidance.
