Do you put addresses on envelopes in the same place no matter what country you are sending the letter to?

Hi, I want to send some letters internationally, currently to different EU countries (I am in an EU country too), but I wouldn't mind an answer regarding other countries too if I need to send letters there too. Basically, where I am from you put the senders address on top left of letter, the stamps on top right of the letter, and the recipients address in the middle/a little bit to the right of the middle. Does this format work for every EU country, or is there a guide somewhere regarding where addresses need to be put depending on the country? I haven't found an answer to this after searching for a couple of hours.
