How long did it take for you personally to adjust to the side effects after starting birth control?

I know they generally say 3 months, however I’m just looking to hear personal experiences whether it took exactly 3 months, or a shorter or longer time. And yes I know, everyone is different. I’m just curious!

I just started birth control pills again after being off of them for 5 years. I’m about 2 weeks into my first pack (combined pill) and my boobs are killing me!!! They hurt so badly plus I’ve been having some mild cramping and moodiness. I know it’s super early and I’m going to be patient and wait it out. But it’s rough right now!
