Clutch won't disengage! AFRICA TWIN

Hi all I have an Africa twin 1000

I have had to replace the clutch since the last one ripped and burned out (previous owner didn't tighten properly)

I have:

-replaced clutch basket and assembly -retrofitted a AT 1100 clutch basket built it up and replaced all relevant parts to match (plates, lifting pin, lock nuts etc)

  • new cover w/ gasket + actuating rod and spring -oil filter changes / oil dump -new clutch cable -Everything torqued to spec

The clutch works, but when I shift into 1st or 2nd it jolts, jumps to 10mph in first and back wheel spins, pulling in the clutch only brings it down to 7mph, it's not fully engaged / disengaged

I've also tried different set ups on the top and bottom adjuster but no luck.

Tried different positioning of the actuator arm / spring doesn't seem to change it

Any ideas why it's doing this? Can't seem to figure it out and I'm just wasting oil every time and I take the cover off.

Just stuck on what to do next
