Is it normal that a game takes so long to load things?

I've just bought a couple demo disc off Vinted which look fine, but I'm testing the demo of Ford Racing 2 and it takes like 3-4 mins loading so I just end up resetting the console. Could it he due to my reader in the Xbox or are they this way?
