Can you safely run two seperate worlds at the same time using the the same .minecraft directory folder?

Help

To explain myself more, I play on a survival world, as well as a copy of the survival world that's set to creative, acting as a testing world for building. I want to be able to run both my survival world and my creative world so I can swap between instances and copy the build I've made. Both of these worlds are in the same saves folder in .minecraft, and its also through the same account, and same PC.

Would running both instances at the same time cause any issues? As long as I don't try open the same world on both of course. Just want to make sure I wont break anything in my .minecraft folder and not cause any world corruptions.

Tried to search google but am having trouble understanding
