First road bike - Trek Madone 5.9 2011

Hi all

I have been enjoying riding for the last couple of years on a hybrid and now want to get a road bike. I mainly ride with my son who now has a road bike.

I am mid 40’s and reasonable fit and active. I don’t want anything crazy expensive as my skill level will be nowhere close but would like something that I use to increase my overall speed and distance

I can pick up one of these locally for a really good price in great condition.

It has a Dura-Ace 10 speed crankset (53/39) and front and rear derailleur. Front derailleur and chainrings are new old stock. Rear cassette is 11-28. Wheels Bontrager affinity RXL carbon.

Any thoughts please on wherever this bike will be to race orientated in its geometry or ok yo get out there and get riding?

Thanks
