Inside ASIGMA CAPITAL ADVISORY SERVICES LIMITED: What Employees Really Experience (Names Included)

SpoilerOpinion

I worked at ASIGMA Uganda long enough to stop hoping things would get better. For anyone applying, partnering, or just curious, here’s what you won’t find on their LinkedIn page.

Silence only protects the wrong people.

  1. Work Culture: Performative and Fear-Driven “Data-driven impact firm” on the outside, survival culture on the inside. Everything is about leadership’s image, not actual value delivery.

High pressure, no support, no recognition. People burn out and leave in a year.

  1. Managing Director: Authoritarian, Out of Touch Runs everything solo, from projects to firings. Micromanages things he doesn’t understand, then blames staff. Promotions and firings feel personal, not performance-based.

  2. HR: Just a Control Tool HR team acts as the MD’s mouthpiece. No staff advocacy, no transparency, no process. Gossip > professionalism.

  3. Louisa (Senior Manager): Performative Empowerment Publicly promotes women in leadership. Privately undermines colleagues and recommends firings to gain favor.

  4. Dysfunction Everywhere

  • Admin team can’t fix recurring issues.
  • Programs team = constant fire-fighting.
  • Tech team = decks and demos, no lasting products.
  • Juniors = smart but silenced.
  • Research = isolated, insights wasted.
  1. The Fraud No One Talks About NSSF fraud: Staff contributions not remitted for over 5 years.

Salary fraud: Pay delayed, denied, or quietly revised.

Operations fraud: Project funds redirected, deliverables half-done.

If you’re considering joining ASIGMA, don’t. If you’re inside, document everything. If you’re a client or partner, ask hard questions.

This company survives on perception, not integrity. And every silent exit lets the cycle continue.

So many good people have passed through and left bitter, broke, or broken.
