Confused Between Himalayan 450 vs KTM Adventure 390 (S/X) – Need Advice
Hey riders,
I currently own a RE Classic 350 and I’m planning to upgrade. Shortlisted two options:
- Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
- KTM Adventure 390 (S/X)
I’m a bit confused about which one makes more sense for me.
A few thoughts:
- Himalayan feels more rugged and touring-friendly, especially for bad roads.
- KTM is lighter, tech-loaded, and more performance-oriented.
I’m mainly looking for a bike for long rides and touring, lil off-roading (if roads are bad bad)
Also, if I decide on the KTM:
- Should I go for the Adventure 390 S or stick with the X?
- Is the extra money for the S (with TFT screen, adjustable suspension, electronics, etc.) really worth it in real-world use?
Would love to hear from anyone who has ridden/owned both, or has insights on touring + city usage.
