does AI 'therapy' ever tell you to put down the screen and go on a walk?

💬 general discussion

A real question for those who have tried using AI with mental health in mind, or for those who discuss their anxious thoughts late into the night with their AI, or so on. Does AI ever advise you to take a break from using it? Is it capable or designed for such a thing? Even Tiktok had "STOP!" videos that interrupted you when you'd been scrolling for hours. I'm sure they didn't work often, but it was some acknowledgement that moderation is appropriate. I wonder if AI users get the same message.

Disclaimer: No, you shouldn't use AI as a replacement for therapy. Remain cautious of all uses of AI, especially ones that have crucial impacts on well-being. Seek qualified therapy where access allows.
