What's Cooper's (Lance) problem? RtF

This got me thinking, What's Cooper's (Lance) problem?

He seem always miserable. He always pushing people away, complain about every little thing around him, and even hurt everyone and himself in the process. He want friendship or somekind of relationship but he don't want to make an effort. He's there, living inside his own bubble, and the only way to make a connection to him is to force throught that said bubble. What even he wants in his life?

I can only pity him at this point. Doesn't have friends, family, or even someone to rely on. He did something drastic and then regret it later, I mean c'mon, make up your mind dude. What do you guys think?
