Was I in the wrong here? (Train tickrt guy) π
I am fairly new to Germany, and gotta say the whole train system is F***ed up here, but it works π€·ββοΈ.
I had my ebike on the train, but was not folded and I don't have a bike ticket (because folded bikes don't need one AFAIK).
The inspector came and was angry already and yelling while pointing at the bike (I speak zero German). I thought I could just pretend I donnow what he is talking about.
Until at some point he talked to me, and I said I didn't speak German, and the guy next to me told me he was asking if that was my bike. Then I was like "Oh yeaaah that's my bike π ". The guy then asked for a bike ticket, I told him I didn't need one.
He was like"no no no, you need one. No no noooo".
Then I decided I was just gonna do the same "I can fold it. It's a folded bike. I can fold it. I need no ticket. It's a folded...."
We just kept going like this ππ till he suddenly left the train.
I said "Oh he disappeared" and the people in the train laughed π
This was a bit of a weird experience.
Are they normally mean? If the bike isn't folded at the time, should I get a ticket?
