SATA SSD for video editing?

Hello! So I'm starting to get into video editing (premiere pro) and I can already feel my m.2 ssd slowly filling up. I have 1 pcie 4 (1TB) for boot drive and apps (and I currently store all my video editing files here), and 1 pcie 3 (512GB) where I store all my games and media etc. I want to add another 1TB storage but can only use SATA SSD since my m.2 slots are full.

Is it okay to store all my future video editing files on the SATA SSD I’m planning to buy? Will this cause any performance issues?
