Trading picks in a redraft league

Our league recently switched over from ESPN. ESPN doesn’t have the option to trade picks in redraft so we never discussed it, last year a league mate did it without any discussion and it has quickly turned into a heated debate.

Do other leagues do this? Looking for some sort of consensus.
