Is there a place for patriotism or am I supposed to be ashamed forever?
I write this mostly out of confusion for what everyone here says versus r/VoteDEM which does get cynical at times, so I want to gauge how I should feel. And also because there isn't any other flair for what I'm trying to say.
I never was very patriotic, indeed I didn't understand patriotism until very recently. But I see people getting all pessimistic about this country, which is understandable, but... Here, people are still patriots for what America can be. So, what gives? Should I be all gloomy about things until the second Trump is gone, or should I still wave the flag when it is appropriate to do so?
