Looking for some free association / word salad for the phrase "Don't hear what I didn't say"

Like the title says, often a pile of little phrases, couplets, and snippets of prose help me to write. Digging through the dust for diamonds, so to speak.

So when you see /hear / say that phrase, what's the first thing that comes to mind for you? If I put my focus on it, the song would write itself, but I'm concerned that it would end up too much like other songs I've written.
