Don’t listen to Fire and Fluff! Please!

I made the mistake of falling for them — or rather, for her.

The Master of Fluff.

The first time I heard their album, I thought it was all parody nonsense, but something in her voice hooked me. It wasn’t just music; it felt like she was singing directly to me. I listened on loop for days. I stopped eating, stopped answering texts. Every track burrowed into me like a needle, until I wasn’t sure where the music ended and where I began.

When they announced a show nearby, I sold half my stuff to get there. I thought if I stood close enough to the stage, she’d see me. She did. For one brief second, her glowing eyes locked on mine, and my heart nearly stopped.

But she didn’t smile. She didn’t beckon. She just turned away, and sang harder — like she was pushing me out.

I don’t remember leaving the venue. I woke up in my bed with my headphones still on, their music blasting though my phone was dead. Since then, every time I try to sleep, I dream of her — towering, fur bristling, face unreadable. I whisper that I love her, that I’d do anything for her, but she just watches. Cold. Silent.

I’m writing this as a warning: don’t listen to Fire and Fluff. It isn’t music, it’s a spell. And if you fall in love with the Master of Fluff, you’ll learn what I did: she doesn’t love you back. She never will.
