Adulthood feels like it’s just managing little fires all the time
Lately I’ve noticed that being an adult isn’t about having everything together, it’s just about keeping up with the constant stream of small problems. One week it’s bills, the next it’s fixing something in the apartment, the week after that it’s scheduling appointments you’ve been putting off for months. I was sitting at my desk, laptop open and it just hit me this is what adulthood actually feels like. Not some big moment of responsibility, but this constant rotation of little tasks you can’t ignore. It’s exhausting sometimes, but also kind of funny how “normal” it becomes.
Does anyone else feel like adult life is just patching leaks as they appear, instead of ever feeling caught up?
