Whitewater rafting husband and wife sell business after she gets sick, he becomes carpenter, she dies eating at the end.
I read this in 2020. Contemporary/modern fiction set in the U.S. Pacific Northwest (maybe Montana or Wyoming). Plot I remember: a woman falls in love with a river/white-water rafting guide and marries him. They have two children. Years later she develops a progressive muscular-dystrophy-type illness. Her husband trains/works as a carpenter and installs a handrail in the house to help her — and at the end of the book she dies by choking. It’s a love story / women’s fiction tone (not thriller). I don’t remember names or the cover. Any ideas?
Thank you!
