Looking around while using a steering wheel / pedals

I just got back to this game and I was trying to set it up using a steering wheel and pedals.

My main problem is looking around while driving, i.e. when I have to turn and avoid crashing into other vehicles. Using the mouse is really too meh. What do you guys use, an eyetracker?
