Fibery.io as your CMMS / Asset manager

Hi everyone,

Important: I am NOT selling anything, just sharing my experience and trying to help someone.

I was once one of you, a lost user swimming around complex or expensive CMMS, I tried a lot of them, MaintainX, eMaint, QRmaint, Remberg, Infraspeak, etc. even SAP!

I am the Maintenance manager at a company (+250 employees) and since 10 months tried to find the best solution for me and my small team (8 guys), but something was missing and of course asking this big companies for customizing stuff was impossible.

And I know I am not alone with this issue, there are so many posts about looking for the "best" CMMS.

Later on, tired of it, I took a look on Productivity apps and No-Code. And after going into a rabbit hole (AGAIN) I found out that I can create my system exactly as I want it to be with no-code apps. Well done u/cautious-kopf I am happy to know I am not the only one looking for my unique solution.

We all know how important is to track all of our stuff, that is when I focused on No-Code apps with databases as core, that is important, because I want to have all my information there, reliable and fast.

That is how I met Fibery — Your company's operating system, they are no CMMS and maybe their focus is not in our industry, but damn it surprised me.

After playing around, also with the AI, I was able to create Machine Databases, add so many fields like Serial Number, Responsible user, Maintenance logs, Pictures, even create Documents/instructions even Wikis inside of it, as well like dashboards.

That way you can have your asset cards clean and all connected, with the exact information you or your team needs.

Oh, I know what you are thinking:

- What about Spare parts Inventory? Check.
- MTTR, MTBF? Use a formula field, check.
- Mobile? They are working on it, already amazing on mobile browser.
- Report portal for the Production team? Check, create forms!
- Finance/Costs? Check, create a Finance database and relate your spare parts or WO.
- Whiteboards? Oh yeah, amazing for visualization.
- Embedded content? YES! Visualize other tools/websites on it and stop jumping between apps.

Checklists are the only thing I am still trying to figure it out, I can create a Document like a template with all the tasks, but is different than what I used with any other CMMS software. But in my personal use case is not my focus, my focus is to eliminate so many Excel files with spare parts, reports, documents, papers, ugh, you know what I mean.

I have to be honest, you need to put time on it, a lot to try to simulate a CMMS. But it can be a little bit faster with the AI if you know what you need, but in the end it will be exactly how you need it. In the end you are building your own CMMS.

Forget about asking your CMMS sales guy if something like that is possible, if you need another field, if the KPIS are just in Premium Plan, if you have to pay for more stuff.

Like I said already, I struggled a lot with the CMMS topic and every time I looked up on Reddit about it, there was always a lot of options and prices and users and that is why I looked into different apps, depending on your needs you can work perfectly fine with an already good CMMS or create one on Glide, Airtable or many other no code apps that I don't know about. But trust me, Fibery won't disappoint.

If you have the time to try something in this direction, give it a chance, maybe, just maybe, you can build larger and complex processes like me in one tool. If you need an already built solution, then go for it, the internet is full of great possibilities.
