Chatuchak and Wat Arun in a single day

I am going to Thailand for the first time. I wanted to go to Chatuchak weekend market in the morning and then to Wat arun later the same day. Will this be too hectic? I was planning to get to chatuchak via train then back to my hotel. Then get to the sathorn pier via train then the boat to wat arun and finally via taxi back to the hotel.... seems a lot..is it reasonable? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
