(Spoilers up to 3.6) IF Amphoreus is a good simulation of the universe, what theories can we confirm or generate?
Let's suppose the eternal cycles of Amphoreus are a complete simulation of the universe, what could we tell from them? Let's assume as well that each cycle represents a different possible world (ie. extrapolating every possible universe by changing every variable). I think this is reasonable based on how Nous and Sceptre d-me13 are described.
Then, things that happen in every cycle would be Nous' instants - if they happen in every possible world, they are essentially fixed, immutable, and inevitable.
With that in mind, here are some things that happen in every cycle in Amphoreus and how that would translate to the HSR universe:
- At the start of every world, Cyrene loses her physical body but continues to exist (outside the known world?) in an immaterial form collecting memories to pass to the next cycle.
- This would confirm the theories from Evernight's trailer that Fuli's body was shattered/dissipated, but they continue to exist. It also matches up with the in-game legends of Fuli - that they are collecting memories to help re-create the new universe.
- Phainon (Trailblaze) and Khaslana (Destruction) are the same entity. In some worlds Phainon becomes Khaslana, in some worlds Khaslana kills Phainon but the end result is the same.
- Akivili = Nanook truthers rejoice! By itself this doesn't tell us much, but I do personally think it's compelling. We'll come back to this in a bit. This also matches with Kafka/Elio's prediction that our trailblaze journey will inevitably lead us to face Nanook.
- The world ends by reuniting the Coreflames of Destruction.
- I don't think it's ever explicitly stated, but with the 3.6 confirmation that stellarons are the blood of Nanook, and all the mentions of golden blood through Amphoreus, I think it's reasonable to infer that the Coreflames represent stellarons. If some faction were to hunt down all the stellarons, they could bring about the end of the universe.
- Number 2 and 3 together suggest a possible story for Akivili that reflects Phainon:
- It suggests a plausible way that Akivili became Nanook - by trailblazing so far and long they collected and contained enough stellarons to embody destruction. As an aside, we the Trailblazer seem to be destined to meet Nanook, and are currently containing a stellaron inside us.
- Cerydra dies, killed by her fellow Chrysos Heirs
- RIP Ena the Order
- The story of every possible world is one in which mortals try to destroy the gods.
- I don't think is a new theory, but this provides more reason to believe this is where the story might be going. Off the top of my head, here's an incomplete list of who wants to kill one or more Aeons so far: Luocha, Jingliu, the Xianzhou Alliance, Feixiao, Evernight, Khaslana, all the Lord Ravagers, Lygus.
- Amphoreus exists in simultaneous states of Light and Dark.
- This is the one I have the least idea about, and the thing that I'm sure is significant in Amphoreus but we've had little explanation of. At the moment i'm thinking it might be something like Day = Known universe = Imaginary Tree and Night = Unknowable universe = Sea of Quanta, that's just a thought bubble. The investigation points in the Universal Matrix after you finish the 3.6 TB quest making reference to the Abyss and Night are setting off alarms, but I can't piece anything together.
- If we stretch the analogy to breaking point you might also conclude that the HSR universe is cyclical, and that some things can move between these cycles:
- Fuli's memories, Nanook and the stellarons, as well as anything else that exists "outside the cave".
This is mostly for fun because there are some obvious holes (I can't match up anything to the 3 known instants from SU), and I personally think us changing the eternal cycles of Amphoreus will result in the same thing happening to the wider universe - it will no longer be able to be predicted. But some of these seemed way too close to long speculated theories to dismiss.
Are there things that happen in every cycle that might give us other hints?
