I made an app to track upcoming game releases and announcements - just hit 500 installs! 🥳

I released my first free Android app, Game Release Tracker, to solve a problem that I was facing and it feels really gratifying that over 500 people have felt the same way and tried it out!

I always felt as though finding interesting game releases and keeping track of them across both PC and Switch was a chore. On both Steam and the Nintendo eshop, the 'popular upcoming' sections are often filled with games I'm uninterested in and filtering out the good stuff is always tricky.

I also similarly struggled with keeping tabs on game announcements from various conferences or elsewhere that I'm interested in.

Game release tracker solves these problems, allowing you to browse upcoming, recently released and recently announced games that your interested in with popularity filters and tag/genre filtering. You can save them to your favourites and get notified when they release!

Since release I've added a number of other features like:

• Game countdown widgets
• Confetti to celebrate release day
• Improvements to game details to include publisher/developer info and more tags

The app is still in it's early stages so I'd love any feedback if anyone has the time to check it out or feels like it might be useful to them.

Thanks in advance for your time and happy gaming!
