[Kentucky] Laid off but have a new job offer. Can i apply for unemployment to cover the gap period?

I was laid off w a termination of Oct. 1st, but I've found a new job. There will likely be at least a couple weeks of gap time where i'm not earning income. Can i apply for unemployment to cover the gap period?
