Stay at Rotherhithe

Hey guys, I am planning a family trip to London. Because we are 6 people everything close to the center is very expensive. The best offer on Airbnb so far is in Rotherhithe.

Can someone give me some information about this district. Is it cool? Just for families? Dangerous? Whatever…

Thanks!
