Last week, my scooter had a breakdown and the nearest service centre to me was kms away..So i decided I'd push my scooter instead of getting it towed cause I was broke af and I had aldready applied for a sick leave after the breakdown..
I thought it would be fun to just, push my scooter and just take time to breathe in the city air..
I saw many things while I pushed around; people on their bikes driving to work, school kids, vegetable vendors setting up shop, traffic police trying their best to navigate the insane amount of Bangalore traffic..
It was very weird because it was the same places I used to be around, and the people were also the same but something was just not right..It made me a little uneasy
I had turned a blind eye to so many things that happen in Bangalore and i had it normalised so much that it felt a little shocking..
Areas with trees which still couldn't handle the amount of pollution and dust..The garbage that's casually laying around collecting dust for months..So many people just spitting on the road while waiting in traffic..It made me repulse a bit..
I feel like people have gotten so used to things just working a little disfunctional so much so that when you experience something normal, it seems like a privilege..
Anyways my path eventually lead up to Chamrajpet, where I came across this..
All the stuff i experienced that day made me realise it was getting harder and harder to love and accept the city i once loved..
Bengaluru has so many great aspects and things that were working right for it..The culture, the people, the trees, the weather, the Passion, the birds, the dosas, the peace..
The more the population grew, the more the trash along with it..So I'm wondering how lack of awareness can be so prevalent in a city filled with so much knowledge and so much information..We are living in the most widespreading news and information era of humans and yet the trash continues to grow..

Sometimes it's hard to love Bangalore..
