Strikes / Nightfall in Portal?

Haven't played in a long time, just started playing again right before the new portal system. Not going to talk much about what my opinion of that system because plenty of people have done that already.

For me the nostalgic feeling of the Vanguard playlist / Nightfalls etc seem to be missing. The strikes (even though it could get reptitive) were much more fun that the current activities I am replaying again and again on master.

To be honest I also find that on master / grandmaster the amount of ads just totally runs you over, but anyway

Will we see something like this return? Or when are the missions rotated? It seems for me the fireteam ops is becoming very reptitive especially with the reclaim / exploring missions which I only seem to be matchmaking for

Or am I just looking in the wrong direction?
