Alberta small businesses: are you losing clients online without even noticing?
I’ve been working with small and mid-sized businesses here in Alberta, and one thing I keep seeing is that many are leaving money on the table online.
- Websites that load in 6+ seconds on mobile (most Albertans browse on their phone — they bounce before they even see your offer).
- Ads that cost 2–3x more than they should because the site isn’t optimized for conversions.
- Google Business Profiles with 20 reviews when the competitor down the street has 150+.
- Sites with no A/B testing — so you never actually learn what message converts best.
I’m curious: if you run a business here, do you feel your online presence is working as hard as it should? Or do you feel it’s “just there” but not really bringing clients?
I’ve been putting together free mini audits for local businesses (literally showing where money leaks out and quick wins to fix it). If anyone’s curious, I’d be happy to share how that looks for an Alberta business.
How are you guys approaching online growth? Are you focusing more on word of mouth, paid ads, or SEO/Google visibility?
