Quick tip: Host your bots and scrapers where you’re less likely to get banned
If you run a lot of bots, scrapers, or API tools, it’s worth thinking about where you actually host them. Some mainstream VPS providers are super quick to shut down active scraping or automation projects, even if you’re not breaking any laws. FWIW, I’ve shifted most of my stuff to privacy-focused providers lately and it’s been way less stressful.
One that’s been handy is OvO Hosting (https://ovobox.org). They offer anonymous, offshore VPS—no KYC, no logs, crypto payments only. Makes deploying bots or running high-traffic setups much simpler, and you don’t get hassled for stuff like Tor networking or DMCA.
Curious if anyone else is sticking to “privacy-first” hosting these days, or do you just risk it on the big names? What’s been your experience?
