PSA on ADHD and dopamine addiction

Success stories ❤️

I am not a medical professional*

I'm making this post for anyone who has always had substance abuse issues through their life because of how hard life is through their eyes.

I always needed to have something on hand to take since I was 16-22. Benzos, oxy, pressed fent. Every one of them I stopped being able to source. Going to kratom was the only thing I had. 7oh was the ticket; and it was everywhere. After a year and a half of addiction (300mg/day), it just wasn't in my finances to keep it up. So I quit.

After a couple months, I started seeing a psychiatrist. A few evaluations later, I was diagnosed with Autism, ADHD and Borderline Personality Disorder. After talking about my options, I had the perfect mix where I was not going to be able to keep up with any behavioral therapy, so she offered treating one at a time and see which one has the most improvement across the board.

I started Adderall a couple weeks ago to try calming my ADHD, I gave the bottle to someone I trusted to only let me have one 10mg XR per day (I heard you can abuse them). My life is crystal clear and I've accomplished so much, I finally feel like I deserve to sleep and have a good productive day each and every morning.

This is really just a PSA that there are so many neurodevelopmental and trauma issues that we try to self medicate with substances that increase dopamine. I'm on such a low dose of Adderall that I don't even get high. But I shower everyday, clean my house, brush my teeth 3 times a day and focus on each invididual project, looking forward to getting things done and feeling a satisfaction at the end of the day. No more sitting there waiting for a high to wear off so I can come up again; or suffering through WD in bed while my next order is out for delivery.

Even if you go to a professional and they say your not ADHD, theres allot of other options for other conditions (like depression/anxiety) that help fill that void without harming yourself and hoping theres not contamination in your product.

If you have any questions about the process, feel free to reach out.

Or if anyone has had a similar experience, share your story!
