It feels like my dreems tell the future
I don't know what to tag this, I feel like all the tags are wrong...
I just watched a video from Dr. K on dreams and it promped me to say this in here, I don't know why, but it's something I've been thinking about alone for years. Also, please forgive the typos I'm sure will exist, I'm writing this on my phone and can't type without a physical keyboard to save my life, I'll try to correct it before posting but can't promise I'll catch everything.
So, I have had a lot of dreems throughout my life that go into the future about things I can't control(mostly), and then they've actually happened. Half of me feels like I'm helucinating them into existance after the fact, but the other half of me believes it mainly from a dream I had when I was very young.
When I was 3 years old, the day I turned 3. I had a dream I was on top of a cliff my the ocean, there was this really scetchy bridge that was just held up by one rope in the center to cross a river into it. I was on a pretty large area of just dirt surrounded by grass on all sides that weren't water, riding bikes around with my friend, my parents were there but they weren't interacting with us. My friend and I were riding our bikes around and eventually just rode off the cliff into the ocean mid storm, weather was nice it's just the water that was stormy, anyway I never saw that friend again in the dream but I like, rewinded in time upon hitting the water and got back to the top as if nothing happened but my friend was gone. I wasn't particularly hurt by this for some reason, like I hadn't known the friend long enough to care about losing them, or something. I decided at this point to cross the bridge which was a very difficult task, and then fell through the ground down a chimny into a house on the other side where there was a party going on, got out of the house and then back across the bridge and my parents had split up they were no longer anywhere near each other.
For reference for later all of that happened over about 5 minutes in the dream.
So I then had to be with my mother after that, couldn't get away from her much and stayed like this for a long time, lost all my friends and never got any more, it was rough. Then after a while it stopped being so hard, I got friends again, got passions for some things again, and then everything siesed to exist and went black for a bit, for an hour ish. Lost all my friends again, then I woke up.
I have been thinking about that dream for a while, the memory has never changed or faded at all, but as I went through life it seemed more and more like reality. So now I'll go over my actual life so you guys can maybe see what I'm talking about.
I moved states at about 2 and a half years old, moved to a completely new area, I didn't really get any friends it was pretty much just my sibling. Though that part was so long ago it's fuzzy in my memory, what little I remember at all. After that dream, the day I woke up from it was my birthday, I got a little birthday celebration. My parents had been fighting they didn't get along I already knew that, a month or two later I got stuck outside in the snow because our roomate was watching something "not child friendly", I don't know what, at the top of the stairs while my parents were fighting at the bottom, and the door was in the middle where I was. A few months after that they got divorced and I was moved to live with my mother only, from that point we were so broke I didn't live in the same place for more than 9 months, and was legally homeless for 6 months after a couple years when we moved states back to the one I was born in. Kept moving around a lot just trying to live anywhere we could afford the rent, if anywhere. I never lived in one place long enough to get close with anyone untill I was 13 years old. I was born in 2006, so that meant when I finally had the ability to make friends before moving away, covid happened and I was locked in an appartment for 2 years with only the internet to keep me company. Now I'm 18 almost 19 and I've had close friends for a total of about 3 years that I've existed. Been through more schools than grades, so I didn't even get a complete education because the curiculum kept changing in the middle of the school year.
It's like it perfectly predicted how I would live, what I would feel, the eternal lonyness then everything just dieing but not ending. And I couldn't control any of it, it's all my parents not getting along, being too broke to live in the same town more than 9 months, and on top of that going back and forth between my parents houses which were never near each other.
The concept of all this feels like a helucination, like none of it is real, but it happens to much, and it's too perfect every time. And my mother has been too uninvolved because she swung to the furthest possible oposite of her abusive upbringing, so it's more like I am being neglected, she does all the things she has to do legaly, but she isn't emotionally or really even physically there despite being unemployed the whole time. I don't know what to think, or do. I've gotten therepy, it didn't help anything.
