My personal opinion on the King Tiger(s) Nerf: 1 Month After
Above, i have posted a photo of a recent match i have had in the Tiger II(H), this is just a silly thing to catch your attention.
Now, onto the main subject: the nerf. As we all know, Gaijin has ”nerfed” the king tigers, though it was proven to be a historically accurate ”nerf”, hence the King Tigers now only have 600 HP, from 700 HP previously. Personally, i have mixed thoughts about this nerf. On one hand i appreciate Gaijin actually caring about bug reports and making their game more historically accurate.
Though, i believe the nerfs were a little too harsh. I did not expect 100 HP to have such a huge impact on my overall game's performance with the King Tigers, not to say i ”struggle” or think the tigers are utterly useless, they are still very potent and powerful. I did notice quite a big difference in the already slow mobility, making the king tiger feel more like a Jagdtiger (pre-nerf). That said, i am not very content with the current state of 6.7, as to say. I know very well the King Tigers are very powerful tanks, and sometimes TOO powerful, but this ”nerf” has only deepened the problem at 6.7 i have kept noticing while playing: it is not very fair. Its truly okay to have cold war tanks (like the T-54, IS3, IS4M, etc), but i think we should make a clear distinction between ”cold war” and true cold war. People tend to group together late 1940s tanks with 1950s-1990s tanks, which is very wrong. A T54 should never fight a 1960s Leopard 1, same goes with a 45' King Tiger fighting a 1960s Bkan 1C.
Conclusion: The nerf was a little too harsh, needed for historical accuracy.
