I need help to find the name of a korean sauce

Hi there! I'm a foreigner and once I ate in this restaurant owned by a family of koreans descendants. There, they served me this alleged "Korean Spicy Chicken", which was chicken breast with a red sauce, the sauce was really tasty, a bit sweet, just slightly spicy, salty and also lots of umami flavor. When I asked the servers, they didn't know the name of the sauce, so here I am in an attempt to find the name of this sauce so I can make it myself in home. Does anybody have an idea what sauce could it be?
