Plastic coupler and Sunroof

Hey guys i was scrolling through some Posts in this Forum, what do you guys mean by pre maintenance work on the „plastic coupler“ and the sunroof drain?

Are there any Common Problems with this Parts? If Yes can someone explain it to me real quick?
