A confession; I am racist
Hello brothers and sisters in Christ, I apologize if this title is extremely bold and outrageous, but it is the truth.
I always thought myself fine in this category, as I treat people of all skin color and culture equally and do not speak of ill of anyone for their race. But deep down in my heart, I know it. I subconsciously assume Africans and African Americans as unintelligent and impulsive when I see them. This roots from me making lots of racist jokes back when I was a teenager, and because I have a Ugandan friend. She is the most righteous person I know, but the more she speaks about Africa and the more I learn about it, the more I hate it. I won’t go into further detail.
Do you think racism can be a form of unforgiveness? Thats scary if it is. One thing I do know for sure is that Jesus did not discriminate or think less against the samaritans or greeks or jews or anyone, and I shouldn’t either.
I ask for prayers to help me get over this new sin I discovered, as it is buried deep and was hidden for a long time
