This just dawn on me.

I came across a theory recently that described the essence of bravery as a shining one gem. That sparked a thought: could the Thorn itself also be considered a shining one gem?

Maybe it’s a special kind of gem:

-one that contains the Outside God,

-one that holds multiple Shining Ones,

-or even one that contains Phantaminum.

What if Phantaminum once left the Tower, but as punishment, the Outside God transformed him into a gem and cast him back inside (something like that)? In that case, Urek’s relentless search for a way out, probably to find Phanta, would be ironic, since Phanta might have been inside the Tower all along.

This leads to another question: is gem creation something Phanta invented? Is it a rare technique, or a common one, accessible only to the most powerful beings?
