Custom Woodworker Nervous About First Kitchen Cabinet Project. Any tips or advice?
I have been a custom woodworker for almost ten years where I specialize in making furniture and very specific custom pieces. Some of this work has included elements of cabinet making, but I always approached it with a "what gets the job done" attitude, especially because those custom pieces can often be quite elaborate and difficult.
I am renovating my home and am looking to make my own kitchen cabinets and kitchen island. Nothing terribly complex, but I'll admit I'm nervous with the idea of it being a straight cabinet project. What tips and recommendations would you have for a furniture maker getting into cabinet making?
