Anybody else's mandibular adjustment device(s) breaking due to bruxism? :(

Hi all,

F26 here, diagnosed at 24 with mild OSA. (Have lost weight since initial diagnosis, and am working on getting it down even more. Obese but not morbid or anything.) I was and am resistant to start a CPAP machine so I opted for a custom MAD late last year and found immediate relief. So happy! But I have crazy bad bruxism and broke my first device pretty quickly. It was a Silent Nite appliance made by Glidewell. We switched to the dreamTAP and more than once, the glue holding in the metal hook on the upper piece has broken off, allowing for the metal piece to slide off into my mouth WHILE SLEEPING! This happened again just last night - it's really scary because I could genuinely choke to death on that. I picked up my refurbished device on Wednesday (yesterday) so to have it break again so quickly is maddening. I don't know what to do. I want to know that I'm not alone.

TL;DR My expensive and supposedly high quality prescription MAD keeps fucking breaking due to bruxism. DAE experience this? What MADs have worked for you if so? Unwilling to switch to CPAP until I exhaust all MAD options.

Thanks and rest well everyone!
