I hate being dismissed by doctors

I'm currently sitting in the waiting room of the ER hoping to get seen soon.

I had to leave work early because of my pilonidal cyst scar starting to leak pus and hurt during my shift, and since my gp is closed I went to the ER to get it checked out. I had had it excised two years ago but never had the sac removed and now I fear it might be infected again.

Both the receptionist and the triage nurse were extremely dismissive of my worries. Especially the triage nurse who condescendingly told me "yeah I get you're actively leaking pus, but these things need to be checked out by your gp, it's no reason to come to the ER."

Gee I really had no fucking idea, how did I not think of that? /s maybe because my gp is closed and I have an extra butthole leaking ass milk down my crack during work hours and my first thought was to get it checked out immediately instead of waiting until monday to call my gp????

I hate being dismissed like this just because I am female-presenting (afab nb) and young. Doctors always think I'm just being dramatic or exaggerating any symptoms I have. Even other possible conditions I fill the complete symptom list of, they all got dismissed since my teenagerhood as me just being young and needing to get used to puberty, and now that I'm an adult I'm just dramatic or hysteric. I hate this so much.

Been waiting for an hour now to be seen by the ER doctor. Don't have much faith in them actually believing me or doing something, because this cyst already got dismissed once two years ago right before it burst and I had to get it excised. Hope they won't say I'm making it up at least. Fml.
