Let’s get this out of the way: if you’re brand new to RP or just looking for a one anddone scene, this isn’t for you. Seriously, scroll on and save us both the trouble.

Still here? Good. That means you’re actually reading. Drop the word “honey” somewhere in your first line so I know you didn’t just skim.

This is my loose plan so far:

Jake wasn’t supposed to see this. He’d planned to slip through the living room, keep his head down, and vanish upstairs before anyone noticed. Easy.

Except instead of the usual quiet, he walked into chaos. The whole space had been turned into a cosplay war zone fabric tossed across chairs, wigs draped over lamps, sequins scattered like shrapnel. His mom and her movie club friends were in the middle of it all, sewing, cutting, laughing, arguing over details.

One step. Two steps. Three.

“Jake, honey! Perfect timing. Come here and hold this.”

He froze halfway up the staircase, caught like a deer in headlights. His mom was already holding up half a costume, thread dangling dangerously close to unraveling, and before he could even stammer an excuse, three other pairs of eyes had turned toward him.

That’s the jumping off point. From there, we can decide together who they’re cosplaying superheroes, anime, fantasy characters, video game icons, whatever mix works best. I’m not looking to rush. I want to build something fun, awkward, and layered, with enough character interaction to make it feel alive.

I’m hoping to find a partner who actually likes writing, not just firing off one-liners. Someone who enjoys the humor and slow build, who doesn’t mind leaning into the weirdness of the situation and letting things breathe. I’ll match whatever energy you bring sometimes short and snappy, sometimes longer and more detailed if the scene calls for it.

If that sounds like your kind of story, let me know your limits, your style, and which cosplay you’d be most excited to play with. Let’s make it fun, messy, and worth coming back to.
