Apprenticeship level 7 or commercial funding?

Hi all wanted to get your thoughts on my situation.

I'm aware that the funding for level 7 apprenticeship is ending for this year, however my employer seems to be pushing for commercial funding to start for next year.

I think for me personally I want to push for apprenticeship via gov funding but they are not keen.

Wondered if anyone else has gone through this situation?
