Compatibility Forerunner and Samsung Galaxy S10

Having started running a few months ago, I would like to buy a Garmin Forerunner watch (probably the 55). The problem is that my phone is quite old, it's a Samsung Galaxy S10.

I plan to replace it, but not necessarily in the coming months.

So my question is, does anyone else have this setup, and does it work?
