French Family of 4 Relocating To Ireland for Work

My family (wife and two children, aged 10 and 12) and I are planning to relocate to Dublin or Cork in early January. I’m seeking advice on schools and recommendations for areas to search for a 3-4 bedroom house. I'm of the housing crisis and that is worrying me to say the least. I would highly appreciate any insights.

My employer is providing three weeks of temporary accommodation for us, and a relocation agent shall also assist with house hunting and selecting some properties in advance. We plan to have a family vehicle but I’d prefer to commute to my office in Ringsend (where I’ll be working at least three days a week) using public transport or a bicycle whenever possible. Our monthly rental budget would be around 3500 Euros. Additionally, my son is in secondary while my daughter is still in primary.
