Story pacing desyncing with fast progress?(Hades 2 full Spoilers)
I beat the game (well, rolled credits for the first time, I know there's still plenty to do) on night 48. I'm don't know how this stacks up against the average, but it felt pretty quick to me, especially compared to the first game.
Even just a few nights into my play through, it felt like the tone of the writing wasn't keeping up with my progression. Characters would comment on how I'd beaten a certain boss, not reacting to the fact I'd already beaten the boss after it as well.
Another example is how I'd beaten Cerberus first try, and never actually lost a run to him until much later when I had a lot of fear going (the first few runs with monster speed turned up were rough for me).
When I finally did lose to him, characters would talk as if I hadn't made it past him before, acting as if he was the next big hurdle for me to overcome before moving on. It didn't make any sense.
And now I've rolled credits, when certain lines trigger they don't make sense because characters will talk as if I haven't already won. Just now I had skelemeus comment on the pacifying tablet for the first time, and both he and Melinoe spoke as if Hades wasn't yet back on his throne and chronos wasn't pacified. There are other similar moments I've had, but I can't recall specifics.
So I guess I just wanted some outside opinions/ thoughts from you guys about this stuff. I never ran into anything like this in the first game, and although it doesn't happen much in Hades 2, it still feels very jarring since everything else is so polished.
I hope this post doesn't come across as a humble brag either, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences.
