[TOMT][Movie][90s or earlier] Nordic themed cartoon

Greetings everyone,

I've been wrecking my brain recently for a movie I watched as a kid. It was a cartoon with a Nordic mythology setting. The male protagonist (I think he was supposed to be Thor) was either dark red or brown haired with a full beard. Two noteworthy characters were a small troll like creature that lived with the protagonists family and an old witch kind of character who at some point hugs the MC and digs her nails into his back, like she is cursing him with it. I remember the movie feeling visceral, but that could have been, because I was a child. I saw the movie someone in the early 90s on VHS, but it could be older.

Anyone got a hunch, which movie I'm talking about?
