Accumulating amex points

Where is the bulk of your amex points accumulated? I have the trifecta and max I can do per year is like 70k points. How do folks have 200-300k points to spend? Does it make sense to use the trifecta after the milestone benefits? (No it doesn't) And using the plat charge and reserve are even worse if you don't have any accelerated usage. Then how do you accumulate amex points?

(I'd rather use my times black and axis atlas for most txns after my milestones)
