Is faster movement speed the new meta now?

I recently returned to the game, after I stopped playing it some time after the accounts and cosmetic cubes became a thing (but not because of those) and I recently noticed that the majority of lobbies I join have a rather high player movement speed enabled (not complaining about it. I just noticed it and need to get used to it).

I remember back when I still actively played the game, the majority of lobbies had a rather decent movement. Not too slow to feel like getting from Medbay to Admins on Skeld takes ages, but also not too fast to feel like you're zooming around like Sonic the Hedgehog.

So yea, just wondering if that's the new meta to play the game now.
